Will this site ever change?

Tuesday, July 25, 2006

It's been quite a while since the site has been updated. It just hasn't developed into the site it was supposed to, namely a network of skater friends. So some time this year we're going to change it over to a blog about places we've been and people we've met in our travels.

We've got some ideas and we'll see what happens. In the meantime, check out this action.

Ostracized

Monday, July 04, 2005

Ostracize (verb): 1) to banish dangerously powerful or unpopular citizens; 2) to exclude from society, favour or common privileges.

"Everything is a go at Barrhaven's new skateboard park on Longfields Drive, right across from the entrance to South Nepean Park" quotes Councillor Harder's website. Other than the location, the only thing new is the asphalt (kindly donated by R.W. Tomlinson Construction). The ramps are the haggard old ramps that saw 10 years of use at the Walter Baker Recreation Complex. Councillor Harder's attitude about skateboarders is even more outdated than the ramps.
